My apologies for the late reply.   My computer crashed a few days ago, and I lost your email, before I had a chance to reply.  Actually I had to ask Ms. Kathy Feng of "China Tours" for your email address, hence, this delay.

 

My tour group consisted of four people only: my wife and myself, our son and his girlfriend.  Our son and his girlfriend do not speak Chinese. I myself had some difficulties in walking; had to use a cane. Therefore it was necessary for us to tour as a private group, and have English speaking tour guides.

 

My wife and I came across the China Tours when browsing internet websites, about 3 months before our actual trip. We had since exchanged numerous emails, on the subject of itineraries, associated costs, type of accommodations,cultural events, quality of foods, tour guides, type of transportations, etc.  At our own requests, we also modified the itinerary three or four times, just a couple of weeks before our trip.  Ms. Feng of China Tour was very understanding, patient and accommodating in handling all issues.

 

Ms. Feng also made many great recommendations on the selection of sites (e.g., the tour of the Great Wall more forgiving of my physical condition; a great visit of the Giant Panda Research Center and Special Theatre Performance in Chengdu).  We were most fortunate that she went out of her way to make the special arrangement of getting us a tour guide to accompany us on our plane from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou. We wouldn't have been able to make that flight by ourselves without the guide's personal assistance, because our flight was delayed a couple of times due to unexpected, severe snow storm at the destination city. By the way,all our tour guides were very knowledgeable, personable and helpful, as well as spoke excellent English.  As I mentioned earlier, I had difficulties with walking, but our helpful guides made it possible for me to enjoy the entire tour.They made our trip a truly wonderful and educational experience. 

 

For our tour in China, my wife and I flew to Beijng from Hong Kong, and our son's party joined us at the Beijing airport (they flew in from Philadelphia separately).  We ourselves made our own flights between Hong Kong or Philly, and Beijing. After that, China Tours made all other domestic flight arrangements, including our return flight from China to Hong Kong. China Tours picked us up at the Beijing International Airport, and took us to the Grand Hyatt, located in the best business/cultural center, where all attractions were within walking distance from the hotel. From the Beijing airport on, we were in the good hands of China Tour.

 

In short, we were, indeed, most pleased with the quality  and value of the entire tour, i.e., flights, accommondations, our own private limos, sight-seeing, and our English speaking tour guides. For our next trip to China, we will definitely book through Ms. Kathy Feng of China Tours again.
